No Masks? No Problem at Burbank Airport

Another Jose Mier Sun Valley Update

Despite a statewide shutdown, things are still going on at our neighborhood airport, including the building of the Avion Burbank project which I’ve detailed several times here.

As of July 10, Sun Valley’s close neighbor, the Hollywood Burbank Airport has installed PPE and hand sanitizer dispensing machines inside its terminals. One vending machine is located in Terminal A before security and in Terminal B one is located near the baggage claim.

The machines will provide N-95 masks as well as disposable surgical-style masks. They will also provide hand sanitizer and infrared thermometers as well as some other personal protective equipment (PPE) for travelers.

Sun Valley citizens know this airport well and many of us are glad to have an alternative to the crowds of Los Angeles International airport (LAX). If we forget our masks (now a requirement for air travel) at least we can rest easy that they and other PPEs are available for sale when we arrive at the airport. That is, for those of us who want of have to fly during these fearful COVID times.
