Jose Mier Tours Hollywood Way Offramp

Avion Burbank Construction Continues

Jose Mier has shown that almost all of Avion Burbank construction is complete, yet there is one thing left that crews have been working on for weeks. It appears that they are connecting electricity and water to the buildings closest to San Fernando Road.

The process was begun several weeks ago and as a result the transition ramp between Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road has been closed. Indeed, the entire ramp looks like it’s being repaved and re-graded.

I took a drive along San Fernando Rd. to get a closer look at the progress. Crews continue to work on San Fernando, digging up the roadway as they place power and water lines underground. The traffic in both directions has been funneled down into a single lane. Anyone wishing to get onto westbound Hollywood Way from San Fernando Rd. must take an alternate route.

It appears that this is the last step toward completion of the Avion Burbank project, but until it is complete, residents will have to alter their travel when trying to get from Sun Valley to Burbank via this access road.
